there is no food or water there you have to take everything with you and remove everything when you leave ....
there is nothing to buy ...people just gift you things and you gift other people things ...

from a cooling mist spray of water over you, to a necklace handmade, to a piece of one of the sculptures that were cut out during the making, to a massage .... its the most peaceful fun anarchic gathering

4 days virtually no sleep ...brilliant new friends....too much to see and do

50 000 people on bikes , no road rules ...flowing like arterial blood and no one crashed into each other ... not a single garbage can and not a single piece of rubbish to be seen anywhere ...

.....and why are there no numbers on American coins?

there is a good little astronaut on one coin...but ...no numbers

I stand there for eternities at cashiers trying to work out what on earth each coin is worth................

I wont say ,...my own private Idaho...

only an 11 hour drive ....

each way

groan...

but I found an amazing architect, photographed one of the best houses I have ever seen..., saw salmon spawning , swam in glacial lakes , mermaids on the beach , photographed the sawtooths, and weird stick trees, got back into sketching, slept in a log cabin made by the hands of the two owners ...(who are not builders ), ate the best pico di gallo, found a brilliant artist, whose work I adore, birthday parties on ice skates, stayed in surreal landscapes  ... hung out with super brilliant locals eating real food ...
