thinking about the poor fellas like rob roy sheltering in just their kilts and plaid over night
and hoping the marble doesnt blow off a mountain pass with us in it ...

on the ferry to stornaway force 10 gale
we took some fairly heavy sideways hits
i naturally stayed outside loving it on the lee side of the boat :)

...and finally ... the callanish .... alot of folk standing around and not a human in sight ...

How breathtaking! I can't believe we lived in the UK for 4+ years and never made it to Scotland despite all our talking about it. You've inspired me to go for it now. So gorgeous!

Ach bonnie lass, you need the empty spaces. I can tell from the most utterly unbelievably fantastic pictures I am seeing here. Come adorn my barn and I will show you more empty places! Doing my 4th looking now..
want to go back too ! I miss it... and your pictures do give my heart a pang again. We lived there for 3 happy years, and I told my hubby I want to get old there. Well, I have to wait a few more years for that ....

can see you had a fantastic trip to the highlands! I loved it there too .. it is indeed a land of beauty and so wild and rugged and beautiful .. not to mention cold! Your photo's are great .. think the Loch nessy one is the best :D
