"waterbabies" exhibition at Arthaus66 USA

8 images of children playing underwater in a summer pool in northern Italy will be showing at the Arthaus66 gallery New Mexico Arthaus66 found on the infamous Route 66

i spent several days lurking around in dive gear underwater in the summer of 2006 photographing waterbabies at play... i love the feeling of the giant quiet underwater room

the series is black and white , printed on Hahnemuhle photo rag paper ... limited edition print run of 25 of each image, matted with a chalk colour, acid free archival museum quality board and framed in a pale maple.

the finished and framed images are approx 23x32 inches (58 x 81cm)

image size approx 13x20 inches (33 x 50.8cm)

show opens June 2009 and runs through August

the gallery will also be showing unframed 6 other of my works from the "100 years sleep series" these are printed on a new medium which is a metallic photo plastic ...super high end emulsion that i have just been introduced to by a fantastic lab in Nevada

these prints will be a limited edition run of 7 of each image printed at 30x40cm

  10. I hope the exhibition will be a success, it's a hard job to set one up. I couldn't help myself thinking that those red roses in your 100 years sleep series look so much like Inger's felted work! How come?!
